Manual for the TF536

Post by Lord Luxor »

Hello,
I recently became the proud owner of a TF536 and wanted to install it in my Amiga 2000 soon. Unfortunately I only got the card without instructions via ebay.
Are there any instructions, manual or similar for the card? On Github I only found firmware updates. A search here in the forum did not bring me any further. English is not my native language, maybe my search was too imprecise.
Thanks in advance.
Regards

You should first ask for support from the seller who sold you the card.

While this is a different TF card, its the same situation .viewtopic.php?f=65&t=5433

Thank you. The seller had also bought the card himself somewhere. I did not know that there are different creators of TF cards.
I guess I'll have to keep looking then. At least I have already found a tutorial to update the firmware.

I'm not familiar with Amiga items personally and there are no Amiga guys online currently. But someone may be able to help.

Indeed there are many creators of the TF cards. But most of the reputable sellers are on this forum. Some sellers in other shops on eBay etc sell the card and give no support. Then its unfair on the sellers here to give support for cards they did not sell. It unfortunately happens a lot.

There are a lot if TF threads on this forum already. So maybe there is a thread which may help you get started.

TF536 is completely plug and play. What is needed in the manual?

EDIT: I mean that in the sense there are absolutely no configuration options or specific software for it.

Thank you. I just found Stephen's thread with the cloned PCBs. I didn't know about that, I thought the TFs are distributed from a central place, as I didn't find any Gerber files either. I had only heard of the TF536 a month ago and since I just got my A2000 working again, I thought that was it. If I understood correctly, the regular PCBs have a logo? If so, then I guess I am imposing on a clone. Fine, if it doesn't work right off the bat, then it goes back.

Are you using KS3.1? It’s the only supported OS

EDIT: Yes as stated I only designed the cards. I have assembled precisely 2 cards ever. I dont get a cut on the sales out there. Only @exxos can sell Logo'd TF PCBs and that was just a way to help fund the forum.

Also may I recommend using ebay as the last resort option for all purchases. All these cards can be obtained on Amibay for a lot less money, since ebay takes insane percentages on every sale. Amibay has now been fixed and allows new user registrations again.

I have Kickstart 3.1 and 3.9 for the A2000. KS 3.9 is also incompatible?

Thank you.

Next time I will look directly at Amibay. Thanks for the tip.
