So... i've had covid for the last 10 days and been stuck in bed.... Seems this is the result.
TF2040 is an Amiga 2000 CPU Slot card that can take either an 060 or an 040.
1. 040 or 060 @ up to 50Mhz
2. 128Mb SDRAM.
3. Optionally Buffered IDE interface.
No idea if i'll get one of these ordered up soon as there is *alot* of things in the queue ahead of it but.
No i will not port this to the A500. I'm done with the A500 .

What about the ZX81?! I'm sure it'll work... *runs away*terriblefire wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 4:10 pm No i will not port this to the A500. I'm done with the A500 .
I hope you're feeling better now after the viral attack anyway.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Re: TF2040 Design Complete
The target for this card is really the 040. The reason being that the TF536 doesnt quite cut it for the A2000 without an FPU.
Since we're going with 68040 bus protocols we're pretty much limited to 50Mhz (maybe a fraction more is possible) but the bus speeds will be really poor anyways. 16bit data bus @ 7Mhz.. vs 14mhz and 32 bit on the AGA amigas..
This is card i thought i might do one day after 060 prices went crazy. To that end i've split the CPU and CPLD power rails and CBT buffered the RAM.
Unfortunately its probably not going to be cost effective as the CPLDs are currently $70 each.

Re: TF2040 Design Complete
I currently have the TF534 in my 2000 with the FPU, along with Liv’s GottaGoFastRam in the zorro slot.
All works great together.
I do also have an 040 cpu in an unknown state too and a few cpld’s left from the 534 and 536.
