Hi all,
I have 2 self built TF1230 identical in parts, ram, firmware etc.
1 card boots and runs perfectly with stock 3.0 roms or eproms with 3.1.
The other card will boot and run perfectly with any rom installed until I hook up the IDE on the card. If using eproms or a Boobip emu the machine(s) will not boot (I have 2 1200's here same issue on both).
Someone did mention to me a possible similar issue on the TF1260 that was fixed in the firmware...if so, is it possible for a fix for the TF1230 to be implemented in the same way please?
Also curious if anyone has/can confirm this issue
Thanks

Re: TF1230 Eprom issue
The issue was originally found in the TF1230 and was fixed/found again in testing of the 1260 alpha. The latest 1230 firmware has this fixed.sparx wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 2:26 pm Hi all,

Re: TF1230 Eprom issue
I’m gonna bet you have a soldering issue. Check avec.

Re: TF1230 Eprom issue
Transpires i gave some false info! The working card only has 64Mb on board...as soon as I upgraded it to 128Mb it started to display the same issues
Strange thing is, I've been using same 2x 64Mb ram ic's on the TF1260 without problem
Is there a recommended ic to use? I've had a hunt around but couldn't find any info..

Re: TF1230 Eprom issue
are you by any chance seeing 130Mb instead of 128Mb of fastram?

I've only used Sysinfo, but it reports 128Mb...terriblefire wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 7:07 pm are you by any chance seeing 130Mb instead of 128Mb of fastram?

Re: TF1230 Eprom issue
TBH, I've lost track...but I have definitely tried RC1 in last few hours, I've tried numerous firmwares from August onwards
After supper I'll jump back on RC1 just to reconfirm - thanks for the time and help!
