SD2IDE not working

I'm currently using a CF2IDE which works fine but it means I have to take my case apart every time I want to add anything to the harddrive. So my idea is to switch to SD2IDE and add a SD extender so I can have a SD slot accessible with the case closed...

I have 2 SD2IDE adapters, both work in my A1200+TF1260 on the ehide connector but no drives show in the early startup menu on the CD32 when I use either of the adapters. I've not attached the extender.

The SD2IDE adapter shows up on my early startup screen, using a CD32 with TF360
