You do not trust all those nice chips from China on Ebay ?
Re: Wanted: Intel 8087 NPU
I bought one on eBay for my Atari PC-1, for about 7€. Whether or not it's legit, who knows, but it passes all tests.

You can sometimes come across real stuff, but it is a lottery...

Re: eBay, it depends upon the vendor. The place where I got my TMS4500 for a fiver was good and it was NOS. The people trying to sell them for £40 are obviously selling pulls.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Guess what I have...
Will it make my prince in Persia jump further?
Will it make my lemmings drop faster?
No...
But does it fill that blank DIP socket and make me happy? Yes.
