You will find the english manual and docs on Hol abime.net. I have preserved the Amiga english version, but also the original Atari ST english version.
The game is indeed manual protected.

Always love hearing about these overlooked RPGs from the early 90s. Gates of Dawn is seriously hardcore compared to most games of that era.
