(Technically Rosetta(2) still supports PowerPC and m68k if the support libraries etc. were present. Unfortunately they're not.)
Is it that good? I do remember Rosetta working quite well at the previous cpu switch so I wouldn't be surprised.
My very upgraded 2010 Mac Pro is still hanging in there but I'm starting to get tempted by one of those Apple Silicon machines :)

I'd like to try this on my TT, I've been following the progress constantly. Could someone be kind enough to TL;DR what rom to use & the base disk image you guys are using (so I don't have to go searching through the topic, I know I'm so lazy)

You need to find a way to bring PPC into that impressive emulation stack of yours, and then top if off by running an AppleII emulator inside Basilisk
Have you ever seen Inception? I think that's where I'm headed!

Re: ROMs, do a Google search for Old_World_Mac_Roms.zip Download and unzip.

Which one to use? The LCIII, LC475 and LC630 ROM images (1MB) all seem to work fine.

The disk image is on @agranlund's project page.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

There are some roms and disk images on my site under "Test Data"
http://www.happydaze.se/basiliskii/

The config file should already be set up for the LCIII rom + the disk image found in basilisk_extra1.zip, I think :)
I can't remember exactly what is on those other extra disk images, probably games.

The last executable posted in this thread is newer than the one on the website too I think.

If you wanted to try other roms then you should be able to find online a zip that has every Mac roms ever made, just like @stephen_usher mentioned.

I first thought you meant that the mouse cursor is unmovable but if you are able to set FAST in the control panel I assume you were able to move the mouse to get to the control panel but it's not acting properly?

Am I guessing correctly if I am guessing that the mouse is moving too slowly on your machine now?
I use the mouse cursor under ST-High, over the graphiccard no chance ...

The mouse cursor is moving to slowly even if in the control panel is it set to fast.

I use the 220627 from the Website ...

Thanks @frank.lukas.

Since I cannot reproduce the issue here and I will have to try making a "blind" fix, all help trying to narrow down would be super valuable. If you have time and don't mind of course :)

Did it work in 220611?
Is the issue related to the resolution (ie; does it work, or behave differently, in something like 640x480?)
Is the issue related to the bit depth (16bpp is most likely going to use emulation, at least on most gfxcards, so I'm fishing for if it's related to that or not)

And just to be 100% sure my Friday brain understood correctly:

ST-High: mouse works, but moves too slowly
Graphics card: mouse does not move at all

or is it:

ST-High: mouse works fine
Graphics card: mouse works, but it is much too slow

Hmmn, setting it to 0 should make the mouse completely unmovable.
That fact that it doesn't change anything could be some hint at least, thanks!
If you have some spare time at some point it would be super helpful to know which of the older builds was the last one that worked ok for you.

The latest version, uploaded just now, has an ACIA write fix, but based on what you are saying I doubt that'll do anything for the issue you are having.
(It does fix a mouse issue which happens *sometimes* when toggling zoom mode in ST or TT low resolution though)

The latest version should be faster.
Works on my machine, fingers crossed it works on others too :)
