Atari 2600 starting the repairs

Any 8bit repairs, images, cool things, upgrades etc.

It is sounding like the CTIA, though have you cleaned the contacts in the cartridge port and checked the fingers are not pressed down?

Approx 20 STs, including a 520 STM, 520 STFMs, 3x Mega ST, MSTE & 2x 32 Mhz boosted STEs
Plus the rest, totalling around 50 machines including a QL, 3x BBC Model B, Electron, Spectrums, ZX81 etc...

I cleaned the contacts with a mix of ipa and windex on a micro fiber cloth with a piece of spare pcb. I never thought to look into the cartridge slot for pushed contacts I will look at that in the morning

Some progress now does anyone know were i can find those aftermarket pcbs for the joysticks that use the micro switches and are drop in ready
