The BOM is in the STBlitter_RevA.zip on his site. In the readme.txt. I attached a bom which I generated from Eagle and added the missing values. But you really should use readme.txt. Lots of other info there.

Does anyone have any insight as to what is necessary for the ROM portion of this upgrade? I can see a somewhat blurry picture of two larger EEPROMS on the high / low sockets, but can't make out anything useful otherwise. Also if anyone knows, can the IDE be disabled but the ROM portion kept?

I'm going to build a few and have a go.

Thanks!

Hi @Oldskool

Did you have success with your blitter boards?

If you have one spare and want to sell then I can take it off your hands. If not then i think ill order some made.

Cheers
Matt

Exxos no longer can source the ST PLCC blitter (C101643 / I60611 / MM9092V), but the STE/Mega ST blitter can still be found fairly cheep.

STE Mega STE SMT MCU + Glue + Blitter 144 Pin IC C302183-002

This chip combines the features of several chips into a single package, and I wonder if the daughter board approach could be used to adapt the C302182 to the older ST. As far as I know, the blitter hardware has the same software interface across all implementations. That should mean that as long as the electrical / signal difference are accounted for, it should be possible to access the blitter hardware in the C302183 on an ST.

I tried Best for a blitter and some help with my double spring keyboard - they won't post to the UK because of some virus or other.

Has anyone used the STE chip just for the blitter?

I was thinking of using this project for the blitter:

What would be cool if this was added directly to @agranlund 's Blitter IDE card by someone with more skills and time than I.

They meant the integrated MCU/BLiTTER, used in the late STe/Mega STe units...
