I can no longer access the forum from my office. Works on my phone. I now get ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

It's been like this for most (all?) of this week. I thought it was the server was down.

Could be a coincidence?

I've not changed any of the rules, let me know your IP address and I will check the logs.

Note this isn't automatic and I have to manually review the IP activity before it will unbanned... I had a request from someone in Russia asking to be unbanned a few days ago ... The mind boggles...

There's 24 "errors" from that IP with "PROTOCOL-ICMP destination unreachable port unreachable packet detected"

You would have look look into that error I posted before. It looks like your requesting ports which don't exist AFAIK. So the firewall assuming its a port scanning type of attack as it happens multiple times.

Nothing has changed in that particular rule set for several months.

Whatever it is, it is outside my control.

Possibly related to "Crowd Strike" or "Symantec" apps installed on work computers which are outside my control.

I will dig deeper into it see if I can find out more. Will see if I can enable more logging to see what's going on aswell.

One temp fix may be to not leave the browser open on the forum as the self-refresh may trigger more log hits..

@alexh I think ive got IPtables logging better..so I need you to visit on your blocked IP to see if your IP gets logged..
