DO NOT USE DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time it is unfortunately not possible to white list users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Where did all this come from?

Post by alexh »

Last year I saw a post on Facebook Market Place for a 520 ST (shorty) + SF354 + SM124 + mouse collection only £70. As it was only 20 minutes drive (so I thought) I went and picked it up and it was very nice (it was the one I brought to CL4). Not bad.

When I was collecting it I saw the vendor had lots more ST stuff so I left my details and said if you're ever selling anything else contact me please... Never expecting he would

He emails me a couple of weeks ago just after CL4, says he's got another SF354 for sale and would I like it (if you remember at CL4 I couldn't get my SF354 to work due to a loose connection on the PSU) so I said sure.

Do I also want an STfm too? a SM125? Same deal as last time £70 collection only?

Who am I to say no to that?

Do I want to buy any software? Devpac 1? A few games and utils? I asked around here to see if anyone wanted anything and eventually said yes to everything.

And here it is. A bit yellow but what do you want for around £100 plus time and fuel

One of the games is Sundog Frozen Legacy mint. I tried to tell the vendor it was very collectable and he should eBay it but no

Also very first version of Degas and Degas Elite.

And a strange joystick that I didn't really want but was encouraged to take

Anyhow I thought I was done when he offered a ZX81 with 16k RAM and a thermal printer? I was going to reply no when I saw the price "£30?" And so I have a ZX81 I didn't really want, don't know anything about but I don't have one so....

Sounds perfectly normal to me :dizzy:

That's kinda how I ended up with my funky cased ZX81, I made an offer on a 16K RAM pack that I wanted for my ZX80 and suddenly I'm being offered the ZX81 as well!!!

You'll find a home for it I'm sure :)

Thanks. I am not sure it is a win, it is almost all surplus to requirements and takes up a lot of space.

I only really wanted a PSU for an SF354 (or another SF354) and I effectively ended up paying £130 for it! (More if I charge myself for storage)

Ready made package for CL5 if someone wants to take them off your hands for beer money!

The ZX81, I'd imagine, you'd have no trouble in shifting to a proper enthusiast.

You think collectors would want it [ZX81] "original" (they do say things are only original once) or with the voltage regulator changed and a composite mod?

Having had a think this morning, I'd be interested in the ZX81 and bits if you want to shift it, PM me and we can discuss.
