They did make a DDI-1 clone for a while in 2014 but I never bought one.
TBH I think it is likely I'll go for something like a Dadanator, I just don't have room for too many disk drives, and most of my storage is SD card these days.
DDI-5 would be the way to go. Many games came on floppy after the 664/6128 came out so few are tape images only. Having the extra RAM will help with later games

Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

I will certainly have a look again, but it'll have to wait for next month if I do go for it, as I've nearly hit my budget...

If you're looking at virtual disk drives on a 464 primarily for playing games, your cheapest and best bet these days is the ulifac: https://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/amstrad-cp ... om-board!/ - gives you RAM, ROM, storage and a whole bunch of other features and utilities that makes gaming on a CPC much easier. It's cheap too!

I assume that the RAM supports the special RAM addressing mode used by the 6128 rather than the simpler one from the D'Ktronics RAM expansion? Some later games won't run unless it has the special addressing mode (which requires more logic).

On a positive note my Aduitape works with CDT tapes images for the CPC, so I managed to test some games on the CPC and it works great.

I got an archive of 3500 CDT files, so that'll keep me going for the time being.

I believe so, yes - but best to ask over on the CPC Wiki forum to make sure. Pretty sure all the modern RAM expansions support all the common ways of accessing extended RAM. The ulifac pretty much sells itself on the "turns a 464 into a 6128" feature.

Quick question in case anyone knows the answer.

I have the CPC hooked up to my OSSC via SCART.The BASIC prompt comes up fine, but when I load some cassette games, they get to a start screen, I press a key and it's as though the video output changes and whilst the OSSC still sees the output from the CPC, the TV gives the error of HDMI mode not supported.

Has anybody else seen this at all?
