Even if the seller was not from China, the stuff he's selling could be.

Ahh, risky place for Ajax, they seem to be quite sought after.HigashiJun wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 12:02 pmFrom Ebay...rubber_jonnie wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 10:46 am Your non-working Ajax (The bottom one) could be genuine, just dead, where did you source it from?

Quite different to the insides of the A5000, much less room. Took me a while to figure out which module was which as the blend in together.HigashiJun wrote: ↑Sat Dec 02, 2023 3:54 am While waiting for the A5000 mouse (and a solder tip for a repair), I worked a bit on my A3000.

The ZIDEFS IDE podule is fitted on top of the MIDI podule.
There is a link from pin 10 of IC33 to pin 3 of the SK3 connector, in order to make 2 podules work at the same time.
But when I boot the machine, only podule one (MIDI) is recognised.
Will have to investigate more and check on the Stardot forum...
Yeah, you have to be more creative here...rubber_jonnie wrote: ↑Sat Dec 02, 2023 10:51 am Quite different to the insides of the A5000, much less room. Took me a while to figure out which module was which as the blend in together.
I hate it when that happens! Could it be the FDD controller IC? Which one did you use in the end?HigashiJun wrote: ↑Sun Dec 03, 2023 5:19 am I cried victory too soon...
Even if I managed to format a 1.6MB floppy without any issues, the HDADFS module seems to be unstable...
I powered-off my computer and launched the previously created module again, but when trying to access the menu, it freezes.
I will check again when I will have my ZIDEFS IDE fitted back again, in order to launch automatically HDADFS from the !Boot folder.
