Dammit!! SCWS - Epson HX20

Post by rubber_jonnie »

Very annoying, I got my HX20 out for a quick power on and test as I often do with my machines to ensure all is well.

Well, all was not well and it seems to be suffereing Sudden Cease Working Syndrome (SCWS) in that it was fine when I last put it away, and now it isn't!!

I guess it'll be on the bench soon then, but fingers crossed it's just a battery problem as It has an odd power system where the PSU doesn't power the machine, it only charges the battery, and if the battery is bad, it's lights out.

Ho Hum.

Just leave the Mega on the shelf, you don’t need that kinda hassle.
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

The Mega is fine as it goes, just quite worried about the HX-20 though.

I'm sure I will, time to start looking for a schematic. It does beep, so wondering if there is a display issue. Battery hasn't leaked though.
