A5000 - diving in at the deep end!

What's your routing table like? If no route then no ping.

It shouldn't really need a routing table to ping something on the same subnet, like another PC or the gateway, which is in the settings, but I can't even ping anything local. That's not 100% true, I can ping the localhost address and the local IP address.

Well, unless the A5000 TCP/IP stack is weird and I'm missing something. Or it doesn't like my 10/100 switch.

Even the local physical interface needs a route to the subnet it's connected to, e.g.

Ok, so managed to get this:

Supposedly fully working for £16, so with the cabling coming from Cricklewood electronics for about the same, I should be able to set up a test BNC network and hopefully, plus since it has AUI, I can hopefully test all the elements of the A5000 NIC to see if they are all working.

Fun and games this A5000 when it comes to networking.

Also heard back from CJE, who have been very helpful, and I'm going to try a blank system with uniboot and drivers supplied by them, see if I get any further.

Will be dead easy to set up now I have BlueSCSI installed, I can just drop in a spare SD card and blank image, so it'll make things clean and easy.

Fingers crossed I'll have this sorted soon.

So I tried running the e1info command as suggested by CJE and I can see when executing multiple times that the RX & TX frame counters are incrementing, as is the unwanted frames counter.
