Well, FinalGROM is now on the way for the TI99/4a, looking forward to having a play with that when it arrives.

Well, FinalGROM arrived whilst I was away at my parents, but it's here now so need to see if I can have a play with that over the weekend.

First just got to get all the SNES bits off the spot I need to put the TI99/4a in and finish repairing that. Just a few caps though, should be able to get that done in less than 45 mins and 10 mins to reassemble.

Looks like I have plans for tomorrow then. Better get onto the Dragon keyboard too.

Next up is finding some stuff to drop on the SD card and having a play.

Still impressed by the video out on this machine.

I have to say that FinalGROM is excellent, it seems a far better solution than the CoCoSDC in that it is a simple menu that allows for the immediate loading of BIN files, rather than mounting and then running disk images.

Here's the menu:

It also helped that I found an excellent zip file containing a huge array of everything from games to dev tools and everything in between.

The menu is really easy to navigate, since you can press the numbers to switch from page to page, or use the < and > symbols to page flip too.

One big issue though: I have now discovered I could really do with a RAM expansion and joystick adapter to make the most of it!!

I need to play with CoCoSDC some more though, and seem to have the Dragon keyboard nearly done now though, so I'll see if I can find a similar archive to the FinalGROM one, as that would help enormously.
