VGA screens probably didn't exist when you were 11 though. :-)
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

I guarantee its the edge connector, give it a clean with IPA and a spot of contact cleaner and she'll be right 😁
Yeah I will give that a try but also ha ve a 32k ram chip coming for the internal expansion as well.
I got one of these:

It's a ZXExpand +, 32KB RAM with an SD card reader, Sound chip, reset button & joystick port. Definitely worthwhile even if it does rely on the edge connector.
Collector of many retro things!
800XL and 65XE both with Ultimate1MB,VBXL/XE & PokeyMax, SIDE3, SDrive Max, 2x 1010 cassette, 2x 1050 one with Happy mod, 3x 2600 Jr, 7800 and Lynx II
Approx 20 STs, including a 520 STM, 520 STFMs, 3x Mega ST, MSTE & 2x 32 Mhz boosted STEs
Plus the rest, totalling around 50 machines including a QL, 3x BBC Model B, Electron, Spectrums, ZX81 etc...

Hehe... I'm not sure CGA arrived with the first IBM-PC, which arrived that year from what I remember. MDA did though.

Anyway, it shows that you're 5 years younger than I am. ;-)

We'll have none of those young whipper snapper remarks thank you `:P :lol:

I'm actually used to being the oldest engineer where I work.

@rubber_jonnie Where did you pick up that zx divide? is it worth the pennies, etc.
