Those are very good prices, good fortune for you :)

Those were great prices, especially the Falcon!

I might be interested in the Jaguar, but it would be the end of August if you're inclined to to move it on.

Yeah, sounds like a good plan.

Well, the Falcon works and looks pristine. The hard drive doesn't work though, it just spins up and spins down.

I'm running the diag cartridge tests at the moment.

Oh, and I have no monitor adapter, so I'm having to use RF and a telly.

It's not got any charge in the built-in battery but it passes the tests.

I've currently got things on the living room floor as it's far too warm to go upstairs to my usual tech room. (Actually, it's on a box, which is on the living room floor.)

Dead HDD perhaps?

I can relate to the tech room heat, my old one was in the loft room, and what with the servers I was running too, it used to get really toasty!!

Thankfully my office/workshop is in the corner of the house that sees the least sun, so it's ok at the moment with the help of fans. I do have an A/C unit on standby though, just in case.

No quite dead HD. It's a Conner and hence it had sticky head bumper syndrome.

I opened the drive up, freed the heads from the bumper and the drive sprang to life.

From the dates on the files it looks like the last time the machine was used was '95!

It has an FPU board installed, but only 4MB of RAM.

I didn't have a hard look but I didn't see any patches, so it may need a clock patch.

Oh well, the filesystem corrupted when I tried to write a file.

Oh well, it's an almost dead disk anyway.

P.S. Oh it's just a bit flakey
