Hi @JezC

I just type in set top box and select SCART, and choose a low resolution from the left column.

I also have one that doesn't power on that looks brand new.

Not Goldfinger hiding his gold on SCART leads.

You're welcome, and thanks. I'm on the other side of town so didn't know anything until the next day.

SCART to RF device broke already.

Neither use nor ornament:

Was creating a wavy line warping up the screen.

Had to re-check my old CRT with the VHS player to check it wasn't broken.

Thankfully it's okay.

I'd naturally from my experiences setting up Mobile Phone to CRT connection (and all the trail and error that involved and a similar piece of excrement from China) already considered plan B.

Which is:

Since modern SCART cables are terrible I'll be using an adapter for the back of the set top box and providing my own professional audio cables.

Hopefully this will be stable.

Cancelled as much of my previous order as I could. Just the video lead has already sent.

Good old insomnia!

Managed to get the device I couldn't find when I previously looked.

This is how the guy I bought the Ferguson 3840 was able to show it working:

Scart to RF box came:

Lot more under the hood than the previous device that broke:

Also, thanks @exxos for the power supply advice. My new TV box supply runs luke warm after hours in an ambient temperature of 24 degrees C so a massive improvement.

I also amused myself by plugging my HDMI to SCART setup into it and playing YouTube from my mobile phone. It worked perfectly, but I have no way of filming without the phone.

Ha. That would raise the costs of this crazy project which has already got out of hand.
