Here's a quick photo of the 1772 DFS board and the new sideways Ram/Rom board which I've just fitted and will give a good test shortly.

I was about to get a Beeb Master 128 last month, but my conscience just told me 'No'.

I see a lot of Master ideas in the Archie, probably best to stay away :)

@HigashiJun I suppose the Master 128 and X68000 share the same 'need a working battery' otherwise your messing with CMOS/SRAM settings every time you turn it on.

Oh, and their PSU's are guaranteed to need initial work done on them

Yes to both of those statements.

It's a comfortable pad although I had to put a shim under the DPAD pillar to reduce annoying multi-presses

I'm using a hacked version of the recent wired CX78+ as my 'daily driver' with my ST.

I have a wired new one and also an original and I have to say that the new models are very close to the old for sure. I think the CX78 is overall one of my favourite controllers, but I do have a 7800 for which they were a specific controller.

I think the CX78+, wired or wireless, is a bit stiffer in the joypad area than the original, but I expect over time it'll loosen up.
