@HigashiJun I suppose the Master 128 and X68000 share the same 'need a working battery' otherwise your messing with CMOS/SRAM settings every time you turn it on.

Oh, and their PSU's are guaranteed to need initial work done on them

Yes, but my X68000 has been completely recapped (including the PSU) and the CMOS battery is new.

Despite my conscience saying 'No' and @rubber_jonnie's wise advise, I am still tempted to get a Beeb Master 128... If the temptation is too strong and my will too weak, I will discover by myself the joys of the Beeb.

Yes, that's one of all the other cons but not a major one though.
