Re: Icky Projects
I needed some more room for a retro workbench so built a new top for the cupboard. Just needs a leg at the end by the door.
Re: Icky Projects
@Icky Just leave the door open and then screw it to the door, problem solved.
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

Hmm...
Its hard to tell, but there looks to be a good diagonal 65" or more on that wall...if you know what I mean
Maybe its time to ditch those other screens and the clock?

Re: Icky Projects
What happened to the idea of using that large outhouse for your retro stuff?
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

That will all be in time @stephen_usher. The new house is taking up a lot of my time as my major project at the moment and that outhouse won’t be finished for a while so hence needing the desk space.stephen_usher wrote: ↑Sat Jun 25, 2022 11:50 pm What happened to the idea of using that large outhouse for your retro stuff?

Re: Icky Projects
Whilst talking about the house the old Bakelite transformer and bell back here viewtopic.php?p=77754#p77754 was an interesting project in the end. I disconnected the old transformer from the mains and bell and replaced with an in consumer unit transformer. I left the old one in situ as it’s a period feature but removed the horrible switch.
Anyway upshot is my electric bill went down ~£4 a week according to the smart meter by swapping out the old transformer.
