@rubber_jonnie I did try the bag method but it inflated as you said, so may revisit it and empty the gases out periodically. Also thinking of 3d printing some kind of grip tape affair that the keys will slot into and stay in. Got to make it multi purpose though.

For the larger cases etc I have a couple of 100W UV flood lights which work great but still not as quick as putting it outside in the middle of the summer.
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

Been a couple of months since my last blog post and most of that time has been taken up with my chemotherapy treatment and time resting in between.

But anyway, here's an update, for a bit of fun, I purchased these to have a bit of a mess around with:

The idea is to learn a bit about simple amplifiers and to get the classic amp set up and working for use with a couple of my computers, probably C128 or C64 for more of a retro sound than that produced by modern amps. Haven't got any old small speakers yet but will see what I get to find at a few car boots over the next few months and will use them with a couple of 2000s creative passive speakers till then.

Well the good news is that the amp and preamp both work now after a little tweak and don't sound too bad justabit under powered in my opinion, running on 24VDC you get about 6 WPC and at 35VDC which is the maximum for the Z30s is only 15 WPC, so I'll keep the preamp but will have to swap out the Z30s for something with a bit more power. I guess I'm spoilt with the other audio gear I'm using right now.

So, there I was, just having a browse on eBay, when I spotted a 9" green phosphor monitor. I have no idea why but I made a cheeky offer for it and well, here it is, connected to one of my Herbs.

It's actually well made externally and as you can see, actually works. Of course I forgot these old monitors sometimes need a chance to warm up before they worked, so we had the old stretched then shrinking to fit screen that I remember from outer black and white telly in the 70s.
