Like for my A3000, I will for sure check whatever is necessary.

Capacitors in the PSU were all OK, and once the dust cleaned off, the fan got more silent.

Meanwell PSU is also a solution, but it would be only in case the original one fails.
Yeah, my PSU seems to be unusual with the leaky caps, all of the larger ones on the -5v/5v/12v side had leaked, but most people seem to report them as being just fine. No schematics either, which didn't help.

I still have my fan hooked up, it's not the quietest fan by any means, but mechanically it is sound,

The mouse is on its way and the RTC should also reach me soon.

Just repaired the two missing pads on the motherboard today:

Pads were first cleaned off from solder on the RTC.

And then on the two 74HCT245T.

New pad fitted and soldered to its trace.

Looks good... And connectivity is OK.

This one is still curing until tomorrow. It's not connected to any trace, so it was just epoxied to the motherboard.

That's all for the moment.

Nice work. I found that there were traces that go under the FPU socket to the ARM chip that were affected by the battery alkali. Yours looks much better than mine. The slightest touch with a cotton bud and C159 lifted and took it's pads with it.

Thanks.

I think I will have to remove the FDD and IDE connectors...

Some traces near them look suspicious.

Not tested yet though.

I just hope it will be less hassle than with my A3000.
