Hello everyone!
My name is Demidio and I am writing from Italy.
I am 50 years old, I have always had a passion for computers, my first experience was at 14 when I replaced the floppy disk in a 486 of a schoolmate. A world opened up to me that I have never abandoned.
I grew up on bread and Commodore, the first was a C64 with 1541, the second an A2000 with HARDITAL SUPER8 with 2 Mb (now exploded to 8!) and second floppy, which I jealously guard.
Then over time I started collecting everything I could buy of retro computers, especially IBM, but I don't refuse anything I can get my hands on.
I also take incomplete or damaged computers, I try to repair them and bring them back to the original as if they were factory-issued. Finding parts is not always easy...
I am currently restoring a CAF SUPERLITE 386SX-20 (branded EIT by us), and I am trying to expand it with RAM, a mathematical coprocessor and everything that can fit inside!!
The problem will be the original bag which is in really bad condition.
My secret dream: to have an apartment/museum with all my parts on display.
I have a black cat who helps me with cleaning/repair/restoration operations, throwing everything she finds on the table to the floor, a way like any other to extend a job that is perhaps quick.
Among my other passions I include a bit of sport, I go to the gym 5 times a week for 22 years and in my very little free time I dedicate myself to my partner... I'm joking! A holy woman who puts up with me! A very valid support and motivation!
I don't know what else to add... Oh yes! Sorry for my terrible English!!!!!!!!!!
Warm greetings to everyone!
Demidio

Re: Hi from Italy!
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.
