The desktop looks a bit ugly.
For nice icons:

You can also set a wallpaper via xaaes.
Personally I did not bother with it yet.
Can also use different desktop progs instead of Teradesk of of ofcourse.
Eg latest version of thing:

Raven060 (luciodra build).
Re: Raven060 (luciodra build).
Placebo
Nothing on that setup page is activated yet, but it's part of what I'm working on at the moment.
Writethrough will be default on both types or ram since it is the least troublesome and requires less of "knowing what you're doing".
Copyback is generally faster (*) but you will encounter crashing/bad-thing(tm) when you stumble upon a program that is copyback-incompatible.
(*) possibly... hits will be crazy fast but miss will be expensive on Raven so it depends...
Re: Raven060 (luciodra build).
I think that archive will be a problem if you are using an LC cpu.
@mikro can probably correct me if I'm wrong..
I think the kernel itself from that archive is probably ok but auxiliary program that comes with are probably compiled with GCC and for 020-060. Such programs do not work without an FPU.
I think you'd have to do some kind of frankenstein setup by mixing packages.
The standard ST package as the base to get working programs:
https://tho-otto.de/snapshots/freemint/ ... st_ste.zip
And the mint kernel from here perhaps:
https://tho-otto.de/snapshots/freemint/ ... st-060.zip
I think I did something like that when I ran with an LC cpu.
Re: Raven060 (luciodra build).
Forgot about the LC. I think it will boot to desktop but there be issues.
So use the other option indeed.

Re: Raven060 (luciodra build).
I am also running the LC CPU. Whilst it boots for me, I constantly get alerts to say it needs the FPU to run programs etc. So most stuff will not run.agranlund wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2024 8:56 pmI think that archive will be a problem if you are using an LC cpu.

Re: Raven060 (luciodra build).
With the first archive you indicated to me (the clones) I can finally start Freemint, apart from the loading artifacts.
Then, in fact, it tells me that the 68881 is missing when I launch some software...

Re: Raven060 (luciodra build).
I wanted to buy this adapter: has anyone tried it? Could it go?
Re: Raven060 (luciodra build).
@kodak80 @luciodra follow @agranlund's advice: the easiest path is to download both archives (ST/STE and TT/Falcon/clones) and replace the "sysroot" and "bin" folder with the one from ST/STE. That should get you going.
Re: Raven060 (luciodra build).
Let's see if I understand: I extract the archive https://tho-otto.de/snapshots/freemint/ ... st-060.zip and take the sysroot and bin directories (which is always inside the sysroot directory) of the https://tho-otto.de/snapshots/freemint/ ... st_ste.zip archive. Right ? Why doesn't it work like this for me... maybe the opposite?
