Unboxing : GOEX short button version
Posted: Sat Jun 12, 2021 8:28 pm
This week I got this packet.
It took some time to be shipped, I knew that, but I had to ask for an update at one point, just to be sure. I got an answer with an ETA, I felt better, and it was shipped on schedule.
Some close-ups :
Checking against the legacy floppy drive ("Chinon"), I will have to twist the cable. I also had to flatten the twisting to have room under the case.
Test ok
Time to close, look how the front of the goex integrates nicely with the floppy drive opening (well, that is the very reason why I bought one instead of a Gotek).
I have tested switching between some images prepared beforehand on a fresh SD card.
An empty disk to start.
Then maxymiser
Then the recently released reworked version of Lotus 1 for the STE
Edit : I just realized that I did not test writing, but my main use case is playing, not production. I will try to test another time, now my STE is shelved again, until next time.
