DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

STE: Thanks for the memory?
Re: STE: Thanks for the memory?
@LeakyBatz there isn't an STe specific PSU upgrade kit. They're PSU specific. So you would need to check what PSU you have, and order the corresponding kit.
Re: STE: Thanks for the memory?
Cheers, have placed an order!

Re: STE: Thanks for the memory?
Your 386 may well have parity RAM installed so be sure to check. If it has 8 RAM IC's it should be OK, however if it only has 3 IC's you'll need to check the chips against their data sheets as I have run into 3 chip SIMMs with 2 x 4 bit ICs and a 1 bit parity IC.LeakyBatz wrote: Tue Dec 23, 2025 8:12 pm Thanks @exxos I'll have a look at them.
Regarding the memory, errr.....I guess I need to pull out my 386 & check them. They are from a bag of previously tested sticks, though.
Would this be the kit for recapping the Atari STE PSU?

I do have 1mb over 4 256kb sticks which are for Atari's. I get the same results with them. I'll check through my 1mb to see if there are any that non parityrubber_jonnie wrote: Sat Dec 27, 2025 11:16 pmYour 386 may well have parity RAM installed so be sure to check. Re: STE: Thanks for the memory?
Thanks @exxos , the diag cartridge arrived earlier this week. I decided to just use 2 256kb sticks until it's running properly.
I set up the cartridge for STE I'm getting this with a continuous tone... TeraTerm just shows this "16 Checking exception handling..." message. Anyone else seen this before? Google AI suggested it might be the MFP chip?

This is the service manual, try section 3 starting at page 25.
BTW did you swap to non parity RAM? If not you should do so.

Can you get a sharper picture at all, I can't read the numbers on the ICs. Either that or write the numbers in a post.LeakyBatz wrote: Sun Jan 11, 2026 8:22 pm Thanks RJ,
