I would check the rectifier isn't shorted out to be on the safe side. I'm assuming no other failures in the circuit as well. Is that D1? The yellow varistor behind it is R2. I cleaned the scorch mark of it but I'm guessing it would be a good idea to replace it too while I'm at it.
