Re: 68060 sources

Ok, so someone redid Quake for integer-only math. I emphasise the word redid, because the original source code base is 100% hardware FPU code, both x86 and m68k. So that's one. Who's going to redo all the others? It's worth mentioning that Quake had one huge advantage in this: every asm function (f...

Re: 68060 sources

It's true. PocketQuake would be faster than standard quake if it was ported. FPU is overrated

Re: 68060 sources

Hey @terriblefire I was just reading through this thread and wanted to ask if you were still looking at doing a 68060 in FPGA? How's that going? With the current prices of legit 68060s and the dodgy scam markets for these things, an FPGA would be perfect. I've said this before. I dont think FPGAs a...

Re: TF360 / Kickstart 3.2.2 - Still experimental?

I'm pretty surprised by that, I'll take it upon myself to contact them on this. There's very little feedback here, again going back years with no official response: https://forum.hyperion-entertainment.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=4665&p=53577&hilit=cd32#p53577 We gave the developers a TF33...

Re: TF360 / Kickstart 3.2.2 - Still experimental?

I've not been given a CD32 3.2 rom to test. I'm very frustrated that this hasn't been made available

This is not a symptom i've ever seen. Could be a bad solder joint somewhere

Seems chucky is too busy to do the TFMSX anymore. Is anyone interested in picking up building it?

Re: CDTV accelerators?

yes, I know the Chipram bus has been extended from 16-bit in OCS/ECS to 32-bit in AGA, but I thought something else had been improved (e.g. better access time to chipram). Anyway I've just found out that Amiga 1200 still has 16 bit chips, e.g. DMA chip 'Alice' : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOS_Te...

Re: CDTV accelerators?

How about a Zorro II? I have a Amiga 1200 with Zorro busboard, I do have a Zorro II for a Amiga 500 and hopefully soon for a CDTV.I haven't tested Amiga 500 Zorro with RTG, but would it be same speed than Amiga 1200? Thanks. I defo think ZII is worth having everywhere as it allows peripherals to be...
