Re: The Cosmic Puppet's Universe.

Good luck getting it sorted, definitely no fun having a bad tooth. I had what I thought was a toothache recently, and the whole side of my head was in pain, but it turned out to be a blocked ear. Thanks man. Parents were moaning at me with the Oxford thing but I'm a singer, I wanna try to save it f...

Re: The Cosmic Puppet's Universe.

Typographically Libreoffice is doing the right thing. After all it is a word processor rather than a text editor. Something such as Notepad++, or just plain notepad in text mode would probably be better for what you want to do. I need a word processor for typing lyrics and fixing lyric sheets which...

Re: The Cosmic Puppet's Universe.

Back-quote is used quite a lot in UNIX/Linux shell. The stuff typed between the back-quotes (or "back-ticks") is run as a separate command and the output from it replaces the quoted text. e.g. $ myvar=`du -s .` This runs the "disc usage" command on the current directory and the ...

Re: The Cosmic Puppet's Universe.

Yeah, it was a private dentist as I don't have an NHS one. Few more numbers to ring on Monday. Incidentally the one in the next town to me has a 12 month waiting list. I'll put myself on it when I get this sorted. If I can't get anywhere closer by Monday, I'm going to Oxford on Tuesday as I can def...

Re: The Cosmic Puppet's Universe.

Got tooth trouble so may disappear for a short while. Hoping it isn't too bad when the numbing wears off. I hope your tooth is feeling better! Here's an old home remedy that may provide temporary relief: place a clove next to the tooth and leave it there. Of course you wouldn't want to fall asleep ...

Re: The Cosmic Puppet's Universe.

£1200 seems a bit expensive to me, have you looked here at what charge bands there are for NHS dental treatment and what they cover: NHS Dental charge bands I know somebody who had a dental implant privately and it was about £2000, so that £1200 seems more like private than NHS. Yeah, it was a priv...

Interesting. I'm focusing more on vocals at the minute. I do like how it's all controllable in real life.
