Re: When running EmuTos with NVDI I've noticed a lot of system files...

It's the usual windows 10 thing by the looks. I can format a floppy to 720k on Atari or Amiga and when its inserted into my pc it adds the system information folder. Delete it again on the atari and its back again next insert into the pc. Any way to stop this? Leave my Atari alone Windows 10 Pro!

Re: When running EmuTos with NVDI I've noticed a lot of system files...

Basically there's some sort of disk volume data generated when I insert my SD card into the PC which ends up on all 14 partitions. I can delete these on the Atari as Windows is not protecting them, but... as soon as I have to put the SD card back into the PC to transfer something, it does it again. ...

Re: Disk won't format from TOS 1.04 if Ultrasatan is plugged in.

That was doing my head in last night. If I select Optimised I get a Cannot read FAT at the end of the format. When I select TOS it works stating 728064, but...TOS 1.04 displays it as 726016. Fast Copy 3 is better for a novice like me because it's hard to screw it up. Never had that issue in t...

Re: Disk won't format from TOS 1.04 if Ultrasatan is plugged in.

FCOPY for example optimizes the disk so you end up with 728064 bytes. TOS is not optimised so you get 726016 bytes free. As you seem to get 728064 bytes in EMUTOS then that also must be optimised.. You can try this as FCOPY PRO has 3 options for this! Format one with optimised, drop to desktop and ...

You're right exxos! Clicked show important system files. Moral of this story is Don't use select all!

You need to turn on the folder option on your PC to show hidden and systems files to see them...
That's on exxos. They only show up on the Atari. Stuff like this melts my head

Re: Disk won't format from TOS 1.04 if Ultrasatan is plugged in.

I'll try and look for it tomorrow if you don't. Not had so much free time today and got more to do in a while. I think it's somewhere around here https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=1205&start=490 (or soon after). Part of it seems to be a mixture of problematic DMA and 1...

Re: Disk won't format from TOS 1.04 if Ultrasatan is plugged in.

I remembered that I haven't tried HD Driver yet as it's £40 but that may help and is something I may do at some point. It's good to know because I feel like I'm being annoying as my mind doesn't understand what would seem basic to some. I don't even know how to create a zip file! Also...Why do...

I have it set to view hidden files, but you've just made me think that it could be that I used select all when moving files. I'll test it all from scratch using another SD card and just drag and drop only.
