Yup. Keycap on MegaST is cherry black. The cap from normal keyboard is to big so it will wobble on the stem. The pic below show the normal to the left an MegaST cherry to the right.

Is the problem still there if you change back to 68000?

Probably standard fault is that RAM has failed. You can try to feel if any of the RAM chip feels hot (hard since the RAM is under PSU)? There is lint free medical swabs you can use made out of polyester. They fit and are flatter (than the normal cotton swabs) and can be used with IPA.
