HELP
GenEdit will send current mixer
settings when you first enter
the Editor. you must then Right-
click on the "SEND" box at the
top of the Editor screen if you
want to send any changes you
have made in the mixer to your
instruments via MIDI.

Name of your Patch the title of
the song and it will be display-
ed on the front panel of your
XG instrument.

The best way to use the mixer is
to first print-out the PDF file
supplied with SEQ-MIX Template.
Creating a hard copy of your mix
accomplishes two things.

  1. It gives you a permanent
  record of your sequence mix.

  2. Provides notes of any
  special set-ups of your MIDI
  gear such as effects processors.

You can now use SEQ-MIX to make
a "mix-list" by adjusting any of
the 17 on-screen parameters to
the settings you have written on
your hard copy.

Once you have finished your mix,
use the "Window Menu" to save
the mixer file by exporting it
as a "RAW" binary file. Once
saved, it can then be converted
to a Standard MIDI File using
the MEX2MID program by Martin
Tarenskeen.

Note: Clicking on the control
knobs or number controls will
increment values by 1. Shift-
clicking on controls will in-
crement by a value of 10. Right
clicking on Program names will
allow you to select a program
from a list.

Changing Program Names: You can
change the Program list for use
with non XG/GM/GS instruments by
creating your own list in a text
editor and importing it to the
Program text box.

To do this, select Edit Template
from the Edit Menu. Right-click
on the Program Name, then select
"Text" from the dialog Box. Now
select "Import".

If your new Program list is less
than 128 in number, you will
have to edit the Program range
in the EBDT. The explanation for
doing this is too lengthy for
this Help file and will require
the full GenEdit manual or a
previous experience in program-
ing GenEdit Templates.
