my falcon's been in storidge for some time how do you change the battery or shood i leave it turned on ! to re charge it !!

The battery is not rechargeable unfortunately, but if you look under the featured articles menu above, under Atari hardware there is an Atari falcon bit, moving the mouse over that reveals the NVRAM House of horrors article, which shows some of the hacks of old, then goes on to show a more elegant solution.

If hacking around in your classic hardware is putting you off the upgrade, there are links here to software that will reset the NVRAM on bootup so it does not contain values that may send your system weird.
