I wonder, if the right programmer had the time and dedication, could the same algorithms and functions be recreated with less graphic intensity for an ST and MIDI setup or as a Falcon Softsynth?
An Atari geek can only dream, right? :p

Without the hardware, but with a grid, algoritms and all Greek scales that you need. Looks very good on the Falcon in 256 colours and in ST mono.

if it can't , then i don't wanna know what you do with your equipment.
the atari and synthesizers can very easilly duplicate this ,
but the thing preventing people from doing this is no participation or group efforts(towards programming and developments).
i have many subsequent "little programs" which do a lot of the functions seen in this video.
is this guy one of the key developers of midi ?
a chineese guy called rick hawtinanawa? or something?
i program for mainly midi stuff , so if right samples and synth modules were targeted from atari
primarilly this loose type of science rock techno music can be created..
but like i mentioned , this for atari can be acheived
only with couple people constaqntilly developing together
not just a wishfull , i think i want this or wouldn't this be cool type of attitude.
and i don't know with certainity but that elaborate program , layout and user interface just wasn't developed spontauiniuously
i can say its probally about 6 years of work to acheive those results.
good stuff , and if any body wants to develop stuff like that for midi then give me a pm or email; i can program like that ,,well about 88 percent of it at least!
charles midi maniac!

Re: I wish my Atari could...
Thank you Jos for pointing this software out. I emailed Manfred Hanke, the developer for Quaderno, and asked him if he'd be interested in updating the software with the same features of the current PC version. Even though the chances are slim for ex-developers to get involved again, it's always worth a shot.
Hey Charles, I always see you looking for a team project to work on. Hopefully, we can make enough noise on AMN to attract the right people for you. Keep in mind, this site is still in its infancy - there's much more to be done. All I ask for is a little patience and I promise that my heart is 100% into making this site huge.
I'm really excited about finishing the links page and getting the other features completed on the main page so I can get to making the "commercial" for this site. It might seem overly ambitious, but I want to attract new, talented, programmers to our realm. In fact, I'm sure there are a lot of programmers who are not necessarily into Atari, but would be more than capable of developing for it if it was worth their while. And like I've said before, if it's about money, I am more than capable of marketing and branding it, after all, that's what I do for a living.
