Hi everyone,
I felt I should take a moment out of my day to publicly thank members David Etheridge (UK) and Jos van de Gruiter (Netherlands) for their amazing support and file contributions to AMN thus far. This is the kind of help that will make AMN a highly valuable place for Atari musicians to visit.
David actually began helping build AMN from as early as July 2009 when I announced the idea of creating this site. Right away, he began writing and sending in articles. David's enthusiasm for Atari was outstanding as was his mile-long articles about Atari and Notator. This month, David sent his entire collection of synth sound banks to help open a synth sound download section. I will also add to that with some ex-commercial CDs of various synth banks. Now be patient, I don't know how I want to organize this section yet and I've still got a lot of other things to take care of on this site as well as a family to pay attention to!
Our more recent member, Jos van de Gruiter, is a real asset to this site as well. He actually photographed the entire Avalon 2.0 manual and sent it in this morning! You can download it from the Avalon 2.1 article on the front page. Jos has been a long time advocate and supporter of Atari writing articles for MyAtari and interviewing famous Atari programmers such as Dr.Ambient. Jos has also sent in program files from his collection too.
So to both David, Jos, and all the other members here who have been in contact with me and sending in their tips, files, and support - thank you! With you support, we can make this site a smashing success!
For me, it's really about sparking a vintage digital revolution...
P.S. This weekend, I've also begun paying for Facebook and Google ads to push this site out to a wider audience. There's so many Atarians lurking out there - I don't doubt that we can attract thousands of members if we make this site worth their while.
Special Thanks to David Etheridge & Jos van de Gruiter

Hey Donovan,
very flattering to read this.
I could not react immediately as I was having dinner in a restaurant with my wife (7 hours/timezones later here).
Thanx, and there's more to come. I like the website and the work you're doing.

Gosh guys, thanks!
It's a delight to be able to contribute to this site, and then show other folks just what I've been ranting away about when praising Ataris to the skies!
The whole point is (and I'm being very presumptious here, so correct me anyone) is that us Atarians really DO believe in our computers, what they do and how elegantly they do it, and that's why we keep on with thm despite the blandishments of the PC crowd. We know our stuff works and keeps on humming over the years, and we don't have to worry about y2k (remember what a disaster for mankind THAT was going to be? ), system and OS upgrades, bugs, viruses and trojans
We just keep on rocking with Atari. Nuff said.
And sharing freely seems to me to be the very antithesis of the usual protectionism going on elsewhere (they know who they are... ) and is all positive.
Keep the faith folks,
Best wishes,
David.
