Atari 520ST as a synthesizer.

Post by yerzmyey »

But this time it means - as a simple synthesizer of early 70s was treated in recording studio. Comparison seems to be justified.

The only instrument/sound-source - Atari 520ST.

Studio effects used:
track-by-track recording / filters / phasers / choruses / flangers / delays / echoes / reverbs / equalizers / compressors / limiters.

Trance/ambient. Enjoy. ;)

Nice use of FX, especially on the slower end section of the piece.

Atari 520ST as a synthesizer.

There is no reason why a bank of ST's could not be used as a set of 3 oscillator (plus white noise) mono synthesizers, each one set to its own MIDI channel, that would be pretty cool to see in use live. As I have a number of these machines, it could be something to ponder on...
The collection:

Atari 260ST, 520ST, 520ST+, 520STfm, STacy, Mega ST2
Atari STe, Mega STE, ST Book
Atari TT030, with 2GB Hard drive
Atari Falcon, 14MB, 40GB IDE drive
Atari Megafile 44

The website and the Atari bit

I used two Spectrums, two ATARIs (520ST and Falcon 030) and Amiga 500.
Enjoy. ;)

Love the cover! Will check out the album once I am feeling better; been ill with flu for two weeks and not getting better, due to yob neighbours preventing me from sleeping day and night.
