Cubase 2 on Atari 1040ST
Cubase 2 on Atari 1040ST
Hello,
I'm glad I found the files for Cubase 2 for download in the warez section.
A few questions, however:
1. How would I transfer the files to an Atari ST readable disk from a pc (with built-in diskdrive)
2. The zip file contains pc files as well as atari files. Which files/folders do i need on my ST disk?
Thanks for your help!

Re: Cubase 2 on Atari 1040ST
Ah, well this is an interesting one as your PC probably can't format 720K floppies and as it happens I have just the article you need right here. So long as you get the files not in a folder, the MROS folder and the Cubase.dat folder onto the main floppy, the others can be distributed among other floppies.
Personally I used to use the MCA crack many years ago, even though I had the genuine V2 in a box on the shelf. The reason being it didn't suffer timing glitches when the dongle was called. Admittedly version 3 sorted this out and as a result I'd have to say from a cracked usage, version 2 was the best one while from a genuine use version 3 (Or version 2 of Cubase Audio) was the best one to use.
If you still have any issues, feel free to get in touch.

I followed your advice and it works now. Thanks a million!
The MCA crack is indeed the one to use. Thanks to "Mike Hunter"

Re: Cubase 2 on Atari 1040ST
Glad to help.
I'm looking through my collection of disks at he moment now that were all unpacked after the house move, I'll be posting the version 3 disks once I've found them all. Admittedly the version 2 crack is the better one but version 3 is a faster program overall.
I do have the genuine disks, which I will be posting once were in better shape with the house.
Enjoy Cubase

Under Software -> MIDI on the top menu, there is a page on Cubase.
There was an issue with the downloads section earlier however this has now been fixed.

Great thanks a lot
Re: Cubase 2 on Atari 1040ST
Before I forget, there is also a cubase manual uploaded, it is for Cubase Audio but most of the MIDI side is still relevant for the MIDI side of Cubase 2 and 3

Re: Cubase 2 on Atari 1040ST
I found the crack , but i'm having trouble getting the crack on disks..
There is one thats way to large to fit on one disk and then theres a crack divided in 2seperate disks but each disk just has some kbs to many to fit on a disk.
Some pointers how to do this?
Thanks,
D.
