Emagic SoundDiver for the STE?

Post by jauqq »

Whats the deal with SoundDiver on the Atari STE?

Is it able to run at the same time as Notator on the STE 4mb?

Are there other synth editors/librarians that can run at the same time as Notator on an STE 4mb? I'm interested in editors/librarians for Yamaha TX802, MicroWave 1 and Ensoniq SQ80.

I've never seen SD for the Atari STE, but i'm aware it does exist. Was it dongle protected?

Here's a demo:

I haven't seen any cracks for Atari around.

I have tried some OEM versions for pc and those are great.

I doubt if you can use the Atari Sound Diver together with Notator. Cubase (MROS) and dr T's KCS had a semi multitasking system, but I don't think Notator has.

Hi Waxjoz,
yes you can use other progs with Notator; if you have 4mB of memory you can use Softlink to divide up available memory for up to four different programs, including Sound Diver.

Best wishes,

Dave.
