Yo,
hehe, I finished my very first ATARI STe song.
http://yerzmyey.i-demo.pl/YERZMYEY-Octo ... RI_STe.mp3
Description: 8-channels song on ATARI STe (4Mb). Made with Octalyser editor. That's my first STe song ever. :)The title comes from pushing STe to its limits by Octalyser. Samples recorded from YAMAHA PSS-680 FM synthesizer, CASIO CZ-230S Phase Distortion synthesizer, ZX Spectrum, SimSynth, CoolEdit generator. Some samples are ripped of course.
Recorded from real hardware - ATARI STe 4Mb".
Soon I will try to write some article about Octalyser usage and put it into AMN "Software Samplers" section.
The program itself is here:

Re: ATARI STe song (8 channels)
Hey I love this! A friend of mine had a Yamaha PSS680 which was a nice home keyboard; I had the PSS790 which was AWM sample based and had a different type of sequencer, but was otherwise similar.
The Octalyser tutorial article you mention would be very welcome for tracker novices like myself, as I am a Cubase linear track kind of guy.

Re: ATARI STe song (8 channels)
Hehe, and after 2 years I start to think about making some Atari STe album (still have only 2 songs for now ).
Shame on me. I know. (But meanwhile I had to prepare some other hardware albums - ZX81 and Amiga 1200. And one "multi-platform" (trance/ambient on ancient computers)).
Anywayz. Now I plan to return to STe (and then also to ST, we will see) to prepare some bigger stuff.
Then I could simultaneously write some text about Octalyser (at the moment I don't remember anything about it - except it name, hahaha).
Too many classic computers to use, too little time.
