Zero-X for Atari ST and TT now available on the Zero-X page

Post by mal7921 »

Version 1.51 of Zero-X is now available on the Zero-X review page. While not as fully featured as the version 2 for the Falcon, this does at least include versions for all of the ST/TT/Falcon line of computers.

Many editing functions are included and for STe/TT and Falcons, includes the ability to play back sounds using the onboard enhanced sound of these machines.

For more information on Zero-X and access to the downloads, go to http://www.atarimusic.net/index.php/war ... ng-editing

Update:The crack works in STeem, but not on my Mega STe. Any other experiences?

now THAT is bizarre, in Steem are you running it from a hard drive? That's the only way I have run it so far so have not tried from floppy as yet.

Yes, I rum it from harddisk in STeem and on Mega STe. Will try it from diskette on Mega STe.

In STeem Zero-X crashes sometimes but works most of the time. On the Mega STE I always get the message: 'No dongle or wrong serial number. Goodbye!'

Out of curiosity, what happens if you delete the Mega STE installation, copy the files back over and run Zero-XST.prg without running the install.prg file? Also have you turned off things like the cache as some ST programs don't like the cache and speed boost of the Mega STE.

That's what I did the first time. Got the message 'No dongle or wrong serial nr. Goodbye!' But I will try again.

That's what I first do on any Mega because with cache on I can't run Cubase.

Oké I've found the problem. :D

It was Thing. I use this as a desktop replacement program on my Mega STe. When I switched off/left Thing, Zero-X started without problems.

No install.prg, serial or dongle needed.

I tried the v1.5 and that worked on a real STE and then after a while it did not remain cracked. However v2 is working fine for me on my Falcon and has stayed cracked. I am not using any 3rd party desktops or screen accelerators.
