TX802 Editor?

Hello fellow Atari lovers!

I'm wondering if and how others are programming there TX802 with an ST?
I found an editor, but I found it not very interactive and not much easier and using the unit directly!

I haven't tried all the there DX7 programmers, I'm not sure how they can be compatible. The FM engine itself is compatible, but the DX7 has no notion of programs and stuff.

Any idea will be welcome!

I'm pretty sure the synthworks series of editors had at least compatibility with the TX802 for the later DX7 editors (Or even a dedicated editor), but beyond that I'm not too sure.

So long as the TX can receive DX7 voice data, any DX7 editor would do the job, but specific performance data would still have to be edited manually. Sadly though, I have no experience with the TX802 (Though it was on my wish list in the late 80's and early 90's), but hopefully someone out there will be able to shed some light.

I'll have to check for the the synthworks series then.
The sound of this machine is really cool. I always use it with 2 layers, but you can add more.
It's just that it's a pain in the butt to program.

All F.M. synths are a pain to program, mainly from having too many things to program in too small a display.

Join the group then PM him through that. I'm not sure if he has a TX, but does seem to have a broad knowledge of more 'Vintage' kit than many do.
