atarimusic.net is dead?

Post by yerzmyey »

what happened to the site?
it's dead for a mounth or so. What the "joomla" thing is?
and the "the Atari Music Network is safe and under review on how to
continue as a community sponsored service" inscription...?
is it the end of the portal?
Still can enter the forum (from google) but most corners are dead and show the "joomla" thing.
Y

Hmm. Actually it's even worse.
Along with the AMN problems, appeared a problem with the Admin's address.

"delivery error: dd This user doesn't have a yahoo.com account
(atarimusicnet AT ... .com)"

Fear not, plans are in motion to bring this site back. I'm currently putting a team together and have a few people ready to help out.

Feel free to get in touch with me either PM here or via the website link in my signature if you want to help out or even just show your support.

Oh yes, believe me, I spent many years making music with Atari computers (mostly ST+Midi, but lately pure ST, or XL or Falcon) so I do hope the site will be back. Also I try to spread the news about the portal + some requests for articles. Well, people are lazy, I know, so I try to write some articles by myself - on the Forum, heh.
Anyway, it would be a real lost if the AMN would go dead.
Best wishes (and wish You luck!),
Yerz

Wow, it's back indeed! :) Cool news! ;)

Well, I hope nothing bad happened to the original admin (forum nick "Atari Music Network") because my friend wrote me: "he virtually dissapeared suddenly from the Internet, including deleting all the e'mail accounts". Hm. Scary.

Donovan's still around, so don't worry too much there. There will have to be some small changes made here and there as things like the forum use the old email account (Though keeping that would limit spam as it no longer exists) and a new facebook group had to be created, along with a new twitter account (Which I must get done soon).

It's typical timing really, it's all come back up on my busiest week and weekend, but at least it is back up.

Yes, we're back and slowly bringing things back up to speed (Better a slower steady pace than rush in and make errors).

Sorry to hear your internet is cut off, is it a temporary glitch?

Thanks for the concern Mal,

I'm cut off due to non-payment of the telephone bill. But I'll pop back here in the meantime until it's resolved. I'm gonna get a vodafone dongle as a short-term solution.
