Hi Folks
Im trying to get a Midex unit hooked up to my Mega ST4 but it will not read the dongle in any of it's four ports.
The dongle reads ok when connected direct to the ST so i know thats working and the lights are lit up on the Midex so somethings happening there too but not what im wanting sadly.
I've cleaned all the port connections with a dab of Deoxit and that made no difference so im starting to think the Midex is a gonner.
Any info/advice on this would be most welcomed?
thanks
Midex Not Reading Cubase V3.1 dongle?
Re: Midex Not Reading Cubase V3.1 dongle?
Can you test the MIDI functionality of the MIDEX without the Cubase Dongle?
Re: Midex Not Reading Cubase V3.1 dongle?
You can test the functionality using the V2.01 crack we have here and enable the Midex driver in the MROS folder. This will then talk to the Midex MIDI ports and if you have a device connected it should respond.
I've seen a few MIDEX plus devices which were 'modded' to work with the Atari Falcon which fail then to work on a regular ST (And on occasion when not done properly, cause damage), but it should read the dongle just fine, even without the driver enabled.
Try one of the hacks, it should at least show if the MIDI ports are working properly
