SC1224 monitor Cubase 3 issues
Hey everyone, I'm using a 520 STE with an SC1224 monitor. I installed cubase version 3.1 and when it boots up, then transport bar and top screen menu become "distorted" , like there's not enough room on the screen, so they start to overlap the graphics onto themselves. I switched the monitor over to medium resolution, which fixed the top menu bar, but not the transport bar. I'd like to try in high resolution but on the menu that option is blocked out. Any ideas on what is happening?
Re: SC1224 monitor Cubase 3 issues
The SC series are a colour monitor with a maximum resolution of 640 x 200 (Medium resolution) on the Atari ST and Cubase needs a resolution of 640 x 400 minimum (High resolution mono) which the SC cannot do.
If you look for a mono mode emulator, this will fool the ST into displaying a high resolution screen on the SC colour monitors, however depending on the emulator used, the display may be fuzzy.
Best bet is look for a VGA adapter and use a VGA monitor, the adapters are easy to find on ebay and there are some wiring diagrams on the internet if you want to try and make your own.
