I quite like the idea of 2 channels being synthetic as it at least allows the Pokey chip to show off a little. As a piece of software it does look interesting, perhapse an article or review could be done at some point so others can learn more about it?yerzmyey wrote:Thx a lot, I already printed it.
These samples - they can be only for drums (one sample to every "note", like bassdrum to C, snare to C# and so on) or can they be also played like regular sampler (not a drummachine) for instance for bass????
Greetzzzz.

But this time Analog would have to write it, as I don't know the program for now.

Hey,
yes - there will be ATR to load via Sio2PC and APE or Sio2IDE.
Also HDD version will be available for these persons who use HDD with their 8bit Ataris.
I still wait for a sign from my coder and will let You know.

Yes, why not, of course. However it's pretty difficult to do, so I'm not sure if I know how to do it. Hm.

OK then.
This is "XL DIGITAL" demo in its proper form:
http://yerzmyey.i-demo.pl/xl_digital.zip
The archive contains:
- "hdd" catalogue - files ready to copy into Atari's HDD
- "ape" catalogue - one ATR file ready to load via SIO2PC and APE or SIO2SD
- "fdd" catalogue - two ATR file for converting them into real diskette (both sides).

Was there an error given at all? As this was all created before I took over I'm not sure if any permissions or paths need to be set, which may well have been lost at some point.yerzmyey wrote:I would but THIS would not consider adding ME.mal7921 wrote: Would you consider putting it on AMN Live?

As a test, I've just added a track to my existing album on the AMN Live player and that appeared to work fine (The track is Gloom 2). I'll try creating a new album and adding a new track later

Well, something like:
"connection has been reset" or "connection lost", more/less.
>Are they MP3 files? If so what size of files are they?[/quote]
----------
Yes, MP3 files, 192Kbps, rather small (about 3 minutes each, mostly - smaller). But even one didn't want to go through.
Hm.

Re: Atari XL/XE (8-bit) - software for digital music!
There seems to be a bug in the module that provides the AMN Live! player, so this may take a while to sort out. But there is a workaround, which I will post in the instructions as well as here.
First thing to do is delete the album as it is uneditable for some reason. Exit the album page then go back in and re-create the album, but before clicking save album, go back to the top and click on the middle tab and add 1 track, make sure you name the track in the field to the left of the filename box (either before or after selecting the file), then save the album.
From that point you can add more tracks.
Fiddly I know, but until I can get the backend updated this is the best I can offer right now.

Re: Atari XL/XE (8-bit) - software for digital music!
OK,
many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many,
many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many
thanks to Malcolm for fixing the album's site.
Now *officially* the "XL DIGITAL" album - made entirely for Atari XL/XE - is on AMN portal -
http://www.atarimusic.net/index.php/amn ... xl-digital
To prove everybody that Atari computers (also these 8bit ones) can be good samplers, not only good synthesizers or sequencers.
So now we wait for Analog's digital/synthetic album.
Greetz to everybody!
