A chance for a rare piece of history...

Post by mal7921 »

While this may not be Atari related, this is a chance to buy a piece of Amiga history with an Amiga development unit.

And here it is, have a look (And possibly a bid) while you can.

Who knows, it may have been one of the units Atari had in their possession for a time...
The collection:

Atari 260ST, 520ST, 520ST+, 520STfm, STacy, Mega ST2
Atari STe, Mega STE, ST Book
Atari TT030, with 2GB Hard drive
Atari Falcon, 14MB, 40GB IDE drive
Atari Megafile 44

I should mention here that Atari had a few development units for the Amiga in their possession at the time they were in the running for buying the Amiga. Even though Commodore took over and got all the official development units back, Atari later depended on the Amiga for initial development of the Lynx and for Lynx games.

Oddly enough, the Lynx was developed by some of the people responsible for the Amiga chipset and has a number of similarities in its design
