Is Step-Time Record working for anyone in v5.xx or Tiger?

I'm hoping someone here might still be using KCS, although given the date of least post... In any case, I hope this isn't a bug, & I'm just stupid, but step time record in v5.xx populates the event list with events of Time zero, regardless of the Time settings in the record dialog. In Tiger, Step time record creates quarter notes, regadless of the quantize icon settings. Tried it on a real 1040STF as well as STeem. Can anyone confirm (or not)? Thank you.
